Energy Efficiency
The EPA has just named Winton/Flair homes as a National Energy Star Partner of the year for the third straight year, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Here we have our President Herschel Stringfield and Vice President Mark Dyer receiving the EPA award at Washington, DC.
Winton/Flair Homes is dedicated to building the most energy efficient homes possible with all the known procedures, technology, and inspection techniques known to the home building industry. Uppermost in making this commitment an EPA Realty, is the strict adherence to the products and procedures set forth in the ENERGY STAR CERTIFICATION program. Every home built under the Winton banner boasts ENERGY STAR CERTIFICATION documents provided by an EPA approved inspector, and, the small brass plaque at the front door that this home is "ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED."
The Texas Vet program now requires that any new financed with a Texas Vet mortgage must be ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED.
How long will it be before the Veterans Administration requires that the ENERGY STAR CERTIFICATION be a requirement for all VA financed homes?
And then-how long will it be before Fannie Mae and other government backed loan programs require ENERGY STAR CERTIFICATION on all their mortgages.
It's possible that one day non-ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED HOMES may become obsolete or unable to secure government backed loans.
